Why a Silicone Sealant Defoaming Machine Is Required

Building Curtain Walls & Doors and Windows

Voids and bubbles form after dispensing silicone weather-resistant sealant for curtain walls, doors and windows, leading to discontinuous sealing, rainwater infiltration and reduced weather resistance.

Automotive Sealing

Sealant beads for auto bodies and headlights need to be full and dense. Bubbles cause sealing leakage and cosmetic defects.

Electronic Potting & Sealing

Voids and bubbles in silicone potting sealant for electronic components impair moisture resistance and insulation, and cause discontinuous dispensing during one-component filling.

✨ Traditional Dilemma: Air entrapment occurs during sealant filling and dispensing, resulting in voids, leakage and uneven surface drying in sealant joints — vacuum defoaming is required to achieve full bead dispensing.

Why Choose SIENOX Sealant Defoaming Solution

Full Sealant Bead

Continuous and full sealant beads after vacuum defoaming for dense sealing and reliable weather resistance.

No Impact on Curing

Gentle non-contact defoaming will not change the curing speed, adhesion and sealing performance of sealants.

Continuous Dispensing

No material break-off during filling and dispensing. Stable and reproducible results from vial filling to mass production.

Equipment Supporting Specifications

SIENOX AB glue defoaming solution can cooperate with other equipment to form a complete potting process chain:

Integrated mixing & defoaming: MIX series planetary mixers mix and defoam AB glue simultaneously under vacuum, finishing mixing and bubble removal in one single process.

Temperature-controlled defoaming: WK series temperature-controlled defoamers perform defoaming at preset temperatures. Suitable for high-viscosity AB glue to reduce viscosity by heating and boost defoaming efficiency.

Defoaming & dispensing linkage: After defoaming, materials can be directly connected to SIE-301/302/303 dispensers for potting, reducing new bubbles introduced during intermediate transfer.

Pressurized fine defoaming: For scenarios requiring high defoaming rate, materials will go through secondary fine defoaming in RX pressurized defoaming machine after vacuum mixing, achieving higher bubble removal rate.

  • How does the stirring and defoaming machine work?

The SIENOX stirring and defoaming machine performs defoaming through centrifugal force at revolution and stirring through shear force formed by revolution and rotation,

Assisted by a vacuum pump to extract gas and achieve a vacuum state, removing nanoscale tiny bubbles. No contact with materials, no secondary pollution, and no secondary waste.

  • What is the function of a defoaming machine?

A defoaming machine is a device used to remove bubbles from liquids. Its function is to assist in the liquid mixing, reaction, coating, printing, infusion and other process steps in the production process, avoiding the generation of bubbles and their impact on the final product. In many industrial and laboratory environments, removing bubbles is essential as they may have a negative impact on product quality, such as affecting surface tension and stability. Defoaming machines typically use various techniques such as vibration, ultrasound, centrifugation, etc. to achieve effective bubble removal. It has a wide range of applications, including but not limited to semiconductors, solar energy, optics, biotechnology, materials science, etc.
