Micron-level Precision Grinding

The rollers are precisely ground with highly parallel surfaces, maintaining consistent gap clearance along the entire roller length. The matte roller surface ensures excellent slurry adhesion. The shaft ends at both sides adopt heavy interference cold press fitting technology for firm and stable roller connection. Repeated circulating grinding achieves finer particle sizes, meeting strict fineness requirements for R&D applications.

Precise Speed Control with DC Governor

Equipped with a DC motor and speed governor, the machine features adjustable rotating speeds to flexibly match material viscosity and target fineness. High-speed grinding improves efficiency for low-viscosity materials, while low-speed grinding ensures uniform dispersion for high-viscosity materials. The motor drives the transmission shaft via V-belt, and the gear train sequentially drives the fast, medium and slow rollers with stable and reliable transmission, enabling precise and controllable grinding every time.

Compact Tabletop Design

Designed for laboratory tabletop operation, it features a small footprint and easy movement, enabling flexible layout in limited laboratory spaces. No special foundation installation is required, and the machine is ready for use after power connection. The removable feeding copper blade allows easy cleaning and fast material switching.


✨ SG80 is ideal for small‑batch production requiring temperature‑controlled grinding, frequent formula change‑overs or heat‑sensitive materials.

Working Principle

Three rollers rotating at different speeds force‑compress and shear materials to realize mixing and homogenization.

Step 1: Three‑roll Shear Grinding
The base‑mounted motor drives the transmission shaft via V‑belt. The transmission‑shaft gear drives the fast‑roll gear, which in turn drives the middle‑roll gear and then the slow‑roll gear to form a complete drive system. Three rollers rotate toward each other at a speed ratio of 1:2:4. Slurries are forced‑compressed and sheared within roller gaps, undergoing progressive grinding and dispersion from slow roll to middle roll then fast roll. 

Step 2: Gap Adjustment for Particle Size Control
Turn the handwheel to compress or release springs, moving fast and slow rollers forward or backward to adjust roller gaps and control grinding fineness. Materials get progressively refined from feed roll to middle roll then discharge roll. Various target fineness can be achieved by adjusting roller gaps via handwheel. 

Step 3: Discharge via Scraper Blade
A scraper blade is fitted on the discharge blade holder, closely pressing against the fast‑roll surface slightly above roller center. It smoothly scrapes off and collects finely ground material adhering to fast‑roll surface. Circulated grinding can be performed repeatedly to reach target fineness. 


Three simple steps: Three‑roll shearing → Gap‑based particle control → Scraper discharge, progressive grinding down to 3‑18μm. Internal water‑circulation channels inside rollers adjust water flow to suppress temperature rise during dispersion and guarantee grinding quality.
