SIENOX SIE-BM3000 planetary ball mill is designed for small-batch production and pre-production process validation. Four 3000mL grinding jars are mounted on one turntable. With 230rpm revolution and 440rpm rotation speed, the grinding balls inside jars mill and mix samples at high speed. It supports both dry and wet grinding, with minimum particle size down to 0.1μm. Four batches of grinding tasks can be finished in one single loading.
Equipped with programmable LCD touch screen, SIE-BM3000 supports forward-reverse alternating operation, interval operation, timed operation and data storage. Grinding parameters can be saved and recalled programmatically to guarantee batch-to-batch consistency. Driven by 5.5KW power and built with a sturdy 220kg body, it adopts 380V industrial power supply and supports long continuous operation in workshops. It is suitable for small-batch production and process finalization in lithium battery materials, ceramic powder, metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry and other fields.

Working Principle
Based on planetary motion principle
SIENOX SIE-BM3000 operates based on the planetary motion principle. The grinding jars are mounted on the main disc (sun wheel). While the main disc revolves around the central axis, the grinding jars rotate at high speed around their own axes in the opposite direction. Revolution speed: 230rpm, rotation speed: 440rpm.
Under this compound motion, the grinding media (balls) inside the jars are subjected to two alternating forces: Impact Force: The grinding balls are thrown up during high-speed movement, delivering strong impact on samples to crush coarse particles. Friction & Shear Force: High-frequency friction and shear occur between balls, and between balls and jar walls for fine particle milling and dispersion. When the centrifugal acceleration from revolution exceeds the critical value, balls are pressed against jar walls and rotate together with the container, resulting in ineffective grinding. Therefore, proper speed setting and transmission ratio design are critical to grinding efficiency. SIENOX adopts optimized transmission ratio design to achieve suitable centrifugal acceleration within valid speed range for high-efficiency milling.
