Stirring & Defoaming for High-Solid Powder Systems, Solve Agglomeration and Bubble Problems
date:2026-11-05author:小施High-solid powder systems represent a tough challenge in new material R&D. With a high proportion of powder and limited matrix resin or solvent, powder particles are closely packed, readily forming hard agglomerates. Meanwhile, abundant air gets trapped in the gaps between particles and locked tightly by dense powder, making bubbles extremely hard to escape naturally — a widely recognized industry bottleneck.
Conventional mixing methods struggle with this dilemma: insufficient force fails to break up agglomerates, while excessive shearing fractures the original powder particles. It is difficult to resolve powder agglomeration and interstitial bubbles at the same time. As a result, green bodies end up with both agglomeration spots and internal pores, leading to unstable finished product performance.
The SIENOX planetary mixing and defoaming machine adopts compound planetary motion. Materials squeeze and rub against one another, and powder agglomerates are broken by self-shear of the material itself, without violent impact from rigid mixing blades. It balances dispersion quality and powder integrity. With a synchronized vacuum environment, air trapped in powder gaps is gradually extracted to eliminate internal pores. Multi-stage programmable processes are supported: low-speed wetting to fully coat powder surfaces and break liquid bridges that hold agglomerates together, followed by elevated-speed dispersion, and final vacuum pressure-holding defoaming. This gradual workflow handles high-solid systems gently and reduces splashing and caking risks.
This solution delivers outstanding performance for high-solid ceramic slurries, highly filled thermal conductive adhesives, and high-loading solid electrolyte powder systems. Many powder material researchers rely on this equipment to break through preparation bottlenecks for high-solid formulas, improve green body density and reduce agglomeration defects. High-solid formulations are critical for material cost reduction and performance improvement. Reliable mixing and defoaming processes provide solid technical support for the development of high-solid powder systems.
